  When people ask me what I do for a living, I tell them I'm a writer. Then they typically say: "Really? What do you write?" I usually get about three words out of my mouth before they bust in with something like, "You know, I'm SO glad we ran into each other because people ALWAYS tell me I should write a book because my life has been so FASCINATING that you just wouldn't BELIEVE it and the stories I could tell you, we REALLY need to get together SOON and, and, and ..." Uh huh. Or they say the most dreaded statement of all: "HEY, I wrote a book a while back but haven't done anything with it, maybe you could read it over and let me know what you think!" Let me assure you that when I hear either of those statements, I know it is time to R U N ! So, back to me. I'm a contract author for several major publishers of nonfiction educational books.
